We Walk the Talk on Environmentally Responsible Construction
Long an industry innovator and known for expertise in environmentally responsible construction, C.W. Brown continues to surpass industry expectations. C.W. Brown’s new headquarters in Armonk, N.Y., is the first green construction in Westchester County to meet the standards of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification. Platinum is the highest LEED certification standard in the U.S. Green Building Council’s rating system and C.W. Brown is the first building in New York State outside of New York City and one of only eighty-six in the U.S. to achieve this distinction.
C.W. Brown completed the new building in 88 days, from a total gutting to move-in ready. The facility is a next-generation “showcase”, which is comprised of a wide spectrum of Earth-friendly products, cutting-edge construction methods, and a variety of industry manufacturers’ new technologies. Combining innovation with superb construction management and carpentry trade skills, has become the standard for our company.
Recently registered as a USGBC Education Provider, C.W. Brown will be offering course programs where LEED professionals can earn continuing education credits. Though certainly not the full extent of C.W. Brown’s corporate citizenship, eco-friendly construction and education has become one of the greatest movements to which the company signs its name.
